D.J. Miquel was born in a small mountain village in Western Europe, where he was fascinated by, and spent much of his time admiring, the history and advancement of science and technology. With a taste for history and technology, and after many exciting flybys from practicing NATO jets weaving their way between mountain peaks, visions of combat aircraft fighting between those same mountains filled his dreams. Derived from technical papers from NACA and taking place in late WWII, Project Blowind centers on four prototype aircraft of similar configuration, but with two types of engines-one a revolutionary hybrid jet engine, and both being of the pusher type with canard configurations. Two navy pilots assisting the Army in the development project unexpectedly find themselves assigned to the destruction of a German research facility and the prototype missile the Germans are working on. British code breaking and reconnaissance found the target, and the plan of attack is made, but successful execution of the complex mission depends on the unknowns of the four prototypes.
