John's excuse is it's research for a new work, documenting his experiences. Instead, John's life starts to imitate his art as Run guides him into a world that holds a mirror up to himself. In a land where life has no value John discovers that to save his own soul can only come at the price of his own life, forcing him to chose between the two.
