Description

Eddi McCandry, a talented guitarist in a really bad bar band, is drafted into a war between the two faerie courts over control of the city of Minneapolis. Attended constantly by the phouka, a shape-changing faerie assigned as her bodyguard, Eddi must somehow launch a new band while dodging unearthly assassins and the unwelcome (and possibly deadly) attentions of her ex-boyfriend. The author, who would later join two folk rock bands, Cats Laughing and Flash Girls, interweaves the story's magical happenings with drawn- from-life depictions of Minneapolis's vibrant music scene.
